NIGERIAN FOOTBALL 'LL SOAR AGAIN – MAIGARI

Maigari
The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Aminu Maigari, has declared that the country's football will witness positive changes in the new year, even as he called for the support of all stakeholders to make the dream a reality.

The FA boss said: 'Nigerian football will attain great heights in the new year, but every Nigerian must portray the game in positive light to achieve our set goals. The development of our football is not about any group or individual, but our collective interest as a people.

We cannot portray the game in bad light and expect people to invest in it. Nigerian football is not all about Maigari. So, we should work together to make the game better in the new year. We are all collectively stakeholders in the game. So, we must come together to make things work.'

He enjoined the fans, the Press and other stakeholders to back the NFF to reposition the game in the new year. 'We have a responsibility to build the game by working together because football is one factor that unites us as a nation.

'Whether I am the president of the body or not , the game must move forward. So, nobody should personalise the game as if it belongs to a person.' He assured that the NFF would give all the necessary support to the technical crew to ensure that they succeed in the task of qualifying the Eagles for both the 2012 Nations Cup and the 2014 World Cup.
