AHRC Urges Registered Voters To Vote Smart — Smart Voting Is The Gateway To Change

The American Human Rights Council (AHRC) stresses that Michigan’s primary election — like primaries across the nation — is among the most consequential midterm elections in recent history. The results of this cycle will shape the political landscape and set the stage for an intense general election in November.

This year’s Michigan Democratic primary races, including the U.S. Senate primary and the closely watched congressional contests involving Dr. Abdul El‑Sayed and Rep. Haley Stevens, as well as MI‑State Rep. Donovan McKinney and Rep. Shri Thanedar, have drawn unprecedented national attention. These races are among the most expensive in the country, with powerful special interest groups pouring millions of dollars into influencing outcomes. This surge of outside spending has fueled a climate of misinformation, misleading ads, and distorted narratives.

AHRC urges every voter to seek the truth, verify the facts, and reject manipulative messaging. An informed vote — grounded in knowledge and independent judgment — is the strongest defense against misinformation.
