‘He Can’t Read Or Write’: APC Slams Adeleke’s Governance Capacity

Oluwole Oke

Hon. Wole Oke, Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Organisation, has asserted that Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke lacks the foundational educational qualifications and leadership capacity necessary to govern the state effectively.

During a Tuesday campaign rally in Awo, Egbedore Local Government Area, Oke urged residents to vote for APC candidate Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) in the August 15 governorship election. He insisted that Osun State deserves a competent, visionary, and educated leader, while calling on voters to reject what he characterized as poor governance.

“Don’t vote for a governor who can’t read or write. Rather, vote for competence and someone with a good educational background,” Oke said.

The APC campaign chief called on residents and stakeholders in Egbedore to unite behind Oyebamiji, describing the election as an opportunity to chart a new course for the state.

He said the APC is resolute in its bid to reclaim Osun, lamenting the party's loss in Egbedore Local Government during the 2023 elections. He therefore appealed to the electorate to right that wrong in the forthcoming poll by turning out en masse to give overwhelming support to the party's candidate.

Oke expressed strong optimism about the party's prospects, noting that the massive turnout of supporters and party faithful at its recent campaign rallies in Ede and Awo is clear evidence that momentum is building for the APC across the state ahead of the election.

He reiterated his allegation that Governor Adeleke lacked the educational capacity to govern effectively, insisting that the state needed competent and visionary leadership.

In his remarks, APC governorship candidate Oyebamiji assured residents that his administration would usher in better days if elected.

He pledged to provide good governance, improve infrastructure, create employment opportunities and implement people-oriented programmes aimed at improving the welfare of residents across Osun State.
