Nwifuru Commiserates With Late EZE Igboke Ewa's Family On The Passing Of Ugoeze Ngozi Igboke-Ewa.

The governor of Ebonyi State, Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has consoled the family of late Ebonyi foremost traditional ruler, Eze Christopher Igboke Ewa, on the death of their matriarch, Ugoeze Ngozi Igboke-Ewa. In a condolence message conveyed to the family during the burial of late Mother Ngozi Igboke-Ewa at the palace of the late royal father, by the governors representative and Ebonyi State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Uchenna Stephen Igwe, the governor, on behalf of the government and people of Ebonyi State, condoled the family on the departure of their mother.

The governor further said that: "Available records indicate that your mother, before her transition, was a hardworking woman and a great mobilizer who worked tirelessly to touch the lives of people around her.

"The news of the death of your Mother was shocking and devastating, but we give thanks to God for her life on earth and the impact she has had on the family, the community and indeed humanity."

Governor Nwifuru encouraged the royal family of late Eze Christopher Igboke Ewa to immortalize the departed Amazon by sustaining her legacies. The Ebonyi first citizen prayed God to grant a peaceful repose to the soul of Ugoeze Ngozi Igboke-Ewa and console her survivors.

Late Ugoeze Ngozi Igboke-Ewa (nee Oñele), a home-maker, woman leader, disciplinarian mother and woman of faith, was the fourth wife of late Eze Christopher Igboke Ewa of Unwuezeokohu community, Ezza North LGA. The mother of seven slept in the Lord on November 19, 2025 at the age of 60. Her burial on Saturday, May 9, 2026 attracted many commissioners, council chairmen, university dons, professionals and dignitaries across Ebonyi State and beyond, including the governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Builder Francis Nwifuru, who was represented by Ebonyi Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Uchenna Stephen Igwe.
