Tinubu Went To UK To Secure Investment, Jobs For Nigerians— Presidency

The special adviser to President Bola Tinubu on policy communication, Daniel Bwala, has defended the president’s recent trip to the United Kingdom, saying that it was to attract investments and jobs for Nigerians.

Bwala, in a post on his X handle on Friday, said Nigeria could not achieve growth by remaining inward-looking, stressing that the visit was meant to open doors for economic development.

“This visit is about opening doors: more investment, more jobs, and more opportunities for our people,” he said.

He added that King Charles III had shown commitment to strengthening partnership with Nigeria in areas of mutual interest.

Bwala also said the visit was part of efforts to ensure Nigeria is visible and respected on the global stage.

“President Tinubu is making sure Nigeria is seen, heard, and respected on the world stage,” he said.

Earlier on Friday, Tinubu returned to Nigeria after a state visit to the United Kingdom, where he met with King Charles III and other top officials as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral relations.

The President also attended a reception at Tate Modern in London, where he highlighted Nigeria’s creative industry and the contributions of Nigerians in the diaspora to the UK’s economy.
