Ebonyians In Diaspora Organization's New Leadership Pledges Support For Governor Nwifuru's Administration.
The Ebonyians in Diaspora Organization, an umbrella association of all Ebonyi people living in different countries outside the shores of Nigeria has elected and sworn-in their new executive. Ezza South-born Dr. Martin Oledima Itumo who is based in the United Kingdom is the new President of Ebonyians in Diaspora Organization.
The virtual inauguration ceremony which held last month attracted many Ebonyi people living outside the shores of Nigeria.
In his inaugural speech, Dr. Martin Itumo expressed heartfelt gratitude for the trust and confidence members of the organization placed on them and promised to serve with humility and openness.
He appreciated the Electoral Committee for conducting a transparent election and the preceding Executive of the organization ably-led by Prof. Daniel Nwibo, for their sacrificial service and outstanding leadership that have set a solid precedent upon which the new administration would shall build.
Dr Itumo said that their vision was unity, purpose and impact; and their mission was to bridge divides, foster collaboration, and to showcase the immense potential of Ebonyians both at home and across the globe saying through these they would not only uplift their people but also project a stronger and more progressive image of Ebonyi State to the world.
In the same vein, Dr Itumo appreciated the Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief Francis Nwifuru for appointing the immediate past President of Ebonyians in Diaspora Organization, Professor Daniel Nwibo, as the Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, insisting that the appointment was a testament to the quality of leadership the Ebonyians in Diaspora Organization continues to produce. The new president of the organization promised that they would always support the Governor's administration to ensure the successful delivery of the Ebonyi People's Charter of Needs Agenda and other programs that will transform the state, strengthen the bonds of unity and advance the welfare of all Ebonyians at home and abroad.
