TOPIC: STRENGTH, ENERGY AND CONFIDENCE THROUGH THE WORD
SCRIPTURE: I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.
1 John 2:14 It has been confirmed that the Word of God is a builder of strength, energy and confidence.
Matthew 4:4 says, But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
We understand from our anchor Scripture that young men are strong because the Word of God abides in them. You cannot be weak if you are worded. You cannot be a weakling, that is, the devil cannot be pursuing you and you are running if you have the Word of God in your spirit. This is because the Word of God builds confidence, strength, energy, resilience and tenacity.
Sometime ago, I saw a little video clip: one tiny goat engaged a big cow with its tiny horns and pushed the cow. The cow pushed the goat backwards but the goat refused to give in. Again, the cow pushed it back the second time but the goat remained undeterred, and pushed the cow backwards in retaliation.
Angrily, the cow threw the goat to a far distance, but the goat got up, came back and engaged the cow in yet another round of combat.
Suddenly, the cow started retreating, and after a while, it turned back and started going its way. Thus a tiny goat beat a big-for-nothing cow because of self-confidence, you can call it faith.
Beloved, you do not win by size; you win by faith. It is not your physical size that would make you win the battles of life but your faith. You win by faith and your faith is fed by light from the Word of God.
Give yourself to a diligent study of God's Word. Put every revealed Word of God to practice.
PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to diligently study Your Word. Help me to put every Word to practice, in Jesus' Name.
