Ogun TAMPAN Visits Crescent University Ahead Of 20th Anniversary Stage Play
Leadership of the Ogun State chapter of Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) has paid a relationship visit to the management of Crescent University, Abeokuta ahead of the institution's 20th Anniversary stage play.
The trio of the National President, Otunba Bolaji Amusan a.k.a Mr Latin,State Governor, Chief Owolabi Ajasa and Mr Emmanuel Adesegun joined the team comparing the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibraheem Gbajabiamila Registrar,Barr. Zakariyya Ajibola;Head of Department of Mass Communication, Dr Kola Adesina; Mass Communication lecturers: Dr Sakirat Salami, Scholar Kehinde Adekunjo and Principal Assistant Registrar,Mr Idris Katib to discuss modalities of the project.
Welcoming TAMPAN, Prof. Gbajabiamila likened the performing practitioners to reference textbooks that promote the Yoruba language, history and important cultural development.
He unveiled the intention of the university to tag a convocation play to its 20th Anniversary.
In his response, Mr Latin assured that the professional team of TAMPAN would work towards the progress of the accomplishment of the project.
In his gratitude as an alumnus of the university, Mr Latin described TAMPAN 's partnership and contribution as giving back to the institution.
While thanking TAMPAN team for their partnership and love for Crescent University,Barr. Zakariyya Ajibola corroborated that the 20th Anniversary convocation stage play would "be used to tell the whole world that Crescent University is now 20".
In his contribution, Dr Adesina, who is the brainchild of the project,said the project would also highlight the city of Abeokuta as the cradle of knowledge, art and civilization.
