The Ijebu Ode area of Ogun State is currently agog with colours, fashion, glamour and glitz all for the 2025 Ojude Oba Festival.
The annual cultural event has been a colourful celebration that tells story about culture and tradition of Ijebu people.
Ojude Oba, which means ‘The King’s Court’ in English, was originally organised by a group of Muslim faithful to pay homage to the traditional ruler of Ijebuland.
What started as small gathering is now widely known across the globe, drawing thousands of people from all walks of life to celebrate tradition, royalty, and cultural pride.
The spectacular event is held on the third day after Eid-el-Kabir, a Muslim celebration popularly known as Sallah or ‘Ileya’ in the South-West.
