Minister Mourns The Passage Of The President Of The National Council Of Women Societies (Nigeria) NCWS

Minister of Women Affairs, Hon. Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, visited the NCWS Headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday to pay her respects and offer condolences after the sudden passing of Hajia Lami Lau, the National President of the National Council of Women Societies (Nigeria).

The Minister praised Lau as a compassionate leader who dedicated her life to empowering women and promoting their welfare. "Lau was a wonderful mother and sister,” the minister praised her unwavering commitment to uplifting the lives of Nigerian women.

The Minister encouraged the NCWS members to emulate Lau's lifeclass and work together to ensure women's participation in the nation's development.

She extended her condolences to Nigerian women and Lau's family, reminding them that death is inevitable and to take solace in God. She prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace, acknowledging that Lau's legacy will be remembered for her tireless efforts to uplift women.
