Federal Government Relocates FAAN Headquarters From Abuja To Lagos

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has ordered the relocation of its headquarters from Abuja to Lagos under the directive of the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development.

The directive was contained in memo dated January 15, 2024, from the Managing Director/Chief Executive, Mrs. Olubumi Kuku.

The memo instructed the officials to assess and report the implications of the relocation to the management.

While the reasons for the relocation are not disclosed, it was believed to be in line with the policies of the current administration led by President Bola Tinubu.

The Central Bank of Nigerian had earlier transferred sizeable number of its staff from Abuja to Lagos.
