2023 Election: Three Persons Shot Dead As Violence Erupts In Delta State

Three yet-to-be identified persons have reportedly been shot while the house of a former Chairman of the local government council, Dr Wilson Omene, was set ablaze in Mosogar, Ethiope West Local Government Area, Delta State.

According to reports, the people lost their lives after an exchange of gunfire between security operatives and irate youths.

Similarly, violence also reportedly erupted in Evwreni, Ughelli North LGA, as thugs allegedly attacked INEC officials, destroying about three BVAS machines and other electoral materials in the area.

Some of the officials were said to have sustained injuries, as voting was disrupted in polling units in the area.

At Amukpe, Sapele Local Government Area, one of the youths lost his hand during a clash in one of the polling units in the area.
