2023 Election: Former Governor, Seriake Dickson Declared Winner For Bayesla West Senatorial District

Former Governor of Bayelsa state, Seriake Dickson, has emerged winner of the Bayesla West Senatorial election as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The Returning officer for the election, Samuel Enahoro, said Dickson of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secured 27,231 votes to defeat Ayakpo Danyegha, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Mr Dickson, who was governor between 2012 and 2020, will be representing his district at the Senate.

The PDP also won the Bayelsa Central and Bayelsa East Senatorial District elections.

Benson Agadaga and Benson Kombowei were declared winners of the Bayelsa east and Bayelsa central senatorial districts respectively by INEC.
