Buhari's new son-in-law, Yau Kumo, under investigation by EFCC over alleged N3billion fraud
Muhammadu Buhari's daughter Hajiya Fatimah, is reportedly under EFCC investigation.
According to the Sahara Reporter, the 57-year-old is currently investigated by the anti-graft agency due to his involvement in fraud scheme during his rule as MD of FMBN.
The report cites the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission operatives as saying that Mr Kumo allegedly diverted loans and funds from the bank to fund the construction of a luxury hotel in Gombe and the purchase of property in Abuja.
The marriage was contracted in accordance with Islamic injunctions and was attended by top federal and state government officials. However, the president himself didn't attend his daughter's wedding choosing rather to stay at the presidential villa mosque for Jumat service. Gimba Ya'u Kumo was appointed managing director and chief executive officer of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria on December 4, 2010. His tenure ended in August 2014.
