Brazil parliament removes President Dilma Rousseff from office
Brazil’s Senate has removed President Dilma Rousseff from office for breaking budget laws.
Senators voted 61-20 to convict Ms Rousseff of illegally using money from state banks to boost public spending.
She denied any wrongdoing, and said previous leaders had used similar accounting measures.

The decision marks the culmination of a year-long battle that paralaysed Latin America’s most powerful economy and laid bare deep rifts among the population on everything from race relations to social spending.
Vice President Michel Temer, who has run the country since her suspension in May, will now be sworn in to serve out the remainder of Ms Rousseff’s term through 2018.
A separate vote will be held to determine whether Ms Rousseff will be banned from public office for eight years. – Sky News.
