Made In Akwa Ibom Tech Will Soon Be Exported—Dr. Mrs Elizabeth Obot

The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Science & Technology Dr. Mrs Elizabeth Obot has stated that technology products invented by Akwa Ibomites will soon be exported for use in other parts of the world.

Dr Obot made the statement while speaking on the occasion of the Youth Economic Strategy Science Technology Innovation (YESSTI) summit which was held at the conference hall of Ibom E Library on Friday, Arpil 29th 2016 by foremost teenage scientists The Eniang Brothers who are now grown ups.

Commending The Eniang Brothers for their creative ingenuity, Dr. Obot opined that it is about time industries spring up from within the state. She assured that the state government through the Ministry of Science & Technology will continue to provide an enabling environment for young scientists to thrive in Akwa Ibom State.

In her words 'I personally want to truncate the idea of science exhibitions, it's time to work on the projects instead of the prizes'. The time has come for us to begin to export what we produce in Akwa Ibom State to better humanity.

Registration for the YESSTI Training Program offers participants training on Career Enhancement, the scheme also facilitates Project Partnership Enhancement, offers 'Science Made Simple' courses for starters who can proceed to collaborate on the Cottage Industry via 'How It's Made Akwa Ibom' program.

Registration for YESSTI is ongoing at the Ministry of Science & Technology, Obio Imo street, Uyo.
