Mrs. Toyin Saraki Receives Rotary Club Award of Excellence

In recognition of over a decade of dedicated humanitarian service in Kwara state, Nigeria and beyond, the Founder-President of the Wellbeing Foundation Africa, H.E. Mrs. Toyin Saraki, received the Rotary Club of Ilorin G.R.A Award of Excellence in Leadership and Humanitarian Service on Saturday 9th April 2016.

Presenting the award, the President of the Ilorin G.R.A. Rotary Club, Rtd. Colonel Theophilus Oladapo Bamigboye, commended Mrs. Saraki for her commitment to philanthropy, development and the empowerment of those in need.

Receiving the Award of Excellence in Leadership and Humanitarian Service on behalf of H.E Mrs. Toyin Saraki, Mrs. Funsho Abdullahi of the Wellbeing Foundation Africa extended appreciation to the Rotary Club for the honour, while reaffirming the Foundation’s commitment to serving the state of Kwara through diverse community development programs and maternal and child health initiatives.

Recalling, that a decade previously, Mrs. Saraki had commissioned classrooms at the Kwara State School for Special Educational Needs, which were constructed and donated by Rotary, Mrs. Saraki commended the President and members for their consistent contribution to humanity. She further expressed gratitude to the Rotary Club for donating 1,000 Safe Delivery Kits to the Foundation.

Other Rotary Award recipients included His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari– who received the Award of Excellence in Leadership and Community Development; His Royal Highness, the Olofa of Ofa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye – who received the Builder of Resource and Community Development Award; Senator Alhaji Rafiu Ibrahim – who received the Award of Excellence in Nation Building; Senator Dino Melaye; Alhaji Jani Ibrahim; Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje; and Mallam Yusuf Olaolu Ali, among others.
