Recruitment: Police Warns Job Seekers Against Falling Victims To Fraudsters
BEVERLY HILLS, December 12, (THEWILL) – Ahead of the recruitment of 10,000 policemen billed for next year, police authorities has again warned unsuspecting job seekers against falling victim to the activities of fraudsters parading themselves to be agent of the Nigeria Police Force.
Disclosing this in a statement issued in Abuja on Friday, the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olabisi Kolawole observed that many Nigerian youths, seeking to be enlisted into the force, had been deceived by fraudsters into believing that recruitment was on.
“It has therefore become necessary once again to inform members of the public that no recruitment is taking place now at the force headquarters or at any of our institutions, commands and formations,” she said.
Assuring that the force would inform the general public of the commencement of the exercise using the appropriate channels, Kolawole urged those seeking to get enlisted into the force not to make any payments to fraudsters disguising on Facebook and other platforms as agents of the Police.
The statement ended by advising members of the public eager to know more about exercise to contact the police public relations officers in their respective states or the divisional police officers nearest to them.
