Group Condemned IPOB Plans to Instigates Violence against Nigerian State.
The Coalition of South South and south East people under the auspices of the National Neighbourhood watch Program has condemned in strong terms the proposed one million man protest march by Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Addressing a Press Conference in Abuja, the Convener of the Group, Charles Inkio Tariah urged IPOB to seek dialogue rather than violence to convey their agitation.
Inkio Tariah insists that President Buhari must be allowed to do the task he has been elected for, saying that stirring up violence here and there will only serve as a distraction to his government.
He also condemned the emergence of Radio Biafra which he said is designed to blackmail, dis-unite and run down the Nation.
He therefore called on the President and the security agencies to rise up to their duty and bring the situation under control.
"We believe in the ability of President Mohammad Buhari to develop the economy of the country. we believe in his anti-corruption drive and his patriotic bid to recover all stolen funds for the overall interest of the country".
In his submission, Chairman Igbo- Ohanaeze Integrity Groups, Barr. Okpalaukwu E. Okpalaezeukwu said any ethnic group that have any agitation or grievance should approach the Government in a right manner and not to blackmail Government".
He further stated that the root of problems in Nigerian is corruption and call on Nigerians to support the current administration in the fight against corruption.
