The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Arthur Peter Mutharika, President of the Republic of Malawi.

The Secretary-General and the President discussed the situation in Malawi, including food insecurity following recent floods and drought. The Secretary-General encouraged Malawi to continue reforms in the areas of public service, public finance management and the electoral system.
