APC USA International Secretariat Applauds Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption
We would like to welcome the timely appointment of Presidential Advisory Committee against Corruption by President Buhari. The formation of this committee by President Muhammadu Buhari has not come as a surprise, it’s one of his campaign promises coming to light.
For some time now, news from the grapevines and rumors indicated that nothing will be done about the abject corruption embedded in Nigeria. The general feeling by many who have expressed their opinion publicly in the media is that the previous regime performed below the expectations.
Speaking from Canada, Prof. Isa Odidi, Director General Diaspora Campaign, Buhari Support Group Centre said "President Buhari in appointing the new Presidential Advisory Committee against Corruption has not only taken into consideration Nigeria's diversity, geopolitical spread and ethnicity but more importantly, President Buhari has appointed men and woman with exceptional personalities of the society throughout their careers". When contacted for their reaction, Barr. Solomon Dalung, Hon. Dr. Mohammad Sani Abdu (Member National Assembly) and Sen. Binta Masi Garba (Member National Assembly) in Abuja, Nigeria also echoed Prof. Odidi's sentiments.
