NIGERIANS  SHOULD  DISREGARD  THE  LIES OF RIVERS APC 

It has  become  obvious  that  the  lies and propaganda  of the leadership  of  Rivers  State  APC  is not about to end soon, despite the party being overwhelmingly  rejected by  the  people of the  state  during the  last general  elections. The party lost all the  elections  because  Rivers  people  were tired of the party’s  failed  governance,  corruption,  impunity and destruction  of  government  institutions, lies and politics of deceit.

Therefore,  Nigerians  should  disregard  the  unbridled  use of falsehood  and propaganda  by the  defeated  Rivers APC to mislead  the  public  and  distract attention  from the  ungodly  looting  of state resources and government  property  by the immediate  past  administration  in the  state.

The former governor  and his lieutenants  left the state in crippling  debts,  months of unpaid  salaries and pensions in a deliberate  attempt  to  frustrate the new administration  in the state. He left an empty  treasury  with a huge debt burden which  he publicly admitted  in his last state wide broadcast.

Already,  Governor  Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has settled down to get Rivers State working again. In two weeks,  he has revived the  state  judiciary,  revived the state  legislature  and has commenced  the process  of strengthening  all comatose  government  institutions  in the  state.  He has commenced  the rehabilitation  of  Port Harcourt  roads  under the  Operation  Zero  Potholes  programme and  has started  the cleaning up  of Port Harcourt  City after the  immediate  past  administration  left the city in a huge mess due to the N1.8billion debt in owed refuse contractors  over four months.

The  Wike administration  has awarded contracts for key state roads in all the senatorial  districts  of  the  state and work will commence  shortly.

Governor  Wike  has also initiated  a development  framework  alongside the  organised private  sector  to revive the  state's  economy  battered by the corruption  and  inefficiency  of the immediate  past  administration.

The  N10billion  loan approved for the Rivers  State  Government  by the  State House of Assembly  is targeted at facilitating  the  immediate  revival  of  the state and the commencement  of  a rebuilding  process promised  the people  of  the  state  by their beloved  governor.

The  scheme  of the  Rivers  State  APC  to use their ill-gotten wealth from their dastardly corruption  and theft of state resources  to  distract  the Wike administration through sponsored falsehood  has failed. Nyesom  Wike  is effectively  on the driving seat and is on course to  revive the  state and ensure that the  people benefit  from  good  governance premised  on  accountability, transparency and prudent management of state resources.

If the  Rivers  State  APC  propaganda and blackmails failed to help them during the general elections, they ought to know by now that the people of Rivers State will never be deceived.

Work is in progress to clean up the mess created by the immediate past administration in the state. Rivers  APC and  their  leaders churning out false statements against  actions of  the  Wike Administration  should be responsible enough to hide their faces in shame after a disappointing outing while in government.
