Obasanjo Writes President-elect Buhari

SAN FRANCISCO, April 01, (THEWILL)  – Former Nigerian president, General Olusegun Obasanjo has congratulated President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari on his victory at the poll after previously failing at three attempts, saying “It must be a great lesson for you and all politicians, particularly in Nigeria.”

The former president, who first ruled Nigeria in the 70's, as a military head of state and served as a democratically elected president between 1999 and 2007, urged Buhari to be magnanimous in victory and begin to heal the wounds and bitterness occasioned by the heated campaigns.
