2015 Election: Diaspora Nigerians Appeal for calm Over Postponement
A key stakeholder amongst the Nigerains in the diaspora and a Wasingthon power broker, Pascal Mbawuike, has appealed to Nigerians to bear with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC over the election postponement.
Mr. Mbawuike, a Senior Vice President with Cohen and Woods international has also vowed to use his relationship around the world to bring the international community on board to back President Jonathan in the 2015 election.
Mbawuike who is also a strong member of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP also appealed to Nigerians to re- elect President Jonathan, adding that "at this moment in our nation's history, his is the man to lead our great nation forward"
He noted the President's economic policies are working, creating the necessary impacts, with power sector privatized, more foreign airlines coming to Nigeria and the rail system working again.
According to him " These are strong indicators that government policies are working and creating the necessary impacts. So, I appealed to Nigerians to massively vote for Mr. President, come March 28.
"With the ongoing military mop up operation successfully dislodging the Boko Haram insurgents, Nigeria should by now begin to have strong faith in the strategic Policies put by Mr. President"
"These are also indications that Mr. President possesses the necessary tactical understanding of what is needed to be done to ensure greater peace for the nation, Nigeria"
"Added to these is that most of us in the diaspora have noticed remarkable changes in the level of respect that Nigeria as a nation has enjoyed among comity of nations under the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan. This has not always been the case, which is also a strong reason to allow him complete the good works his administration has been doing" he said
Mbawuike assured Nigerians that President Jonathan is a man who can deliver on his promises, since he simply knows what is happening and what needs to be done.
He also commended the National Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Ahmed Muazu, the Chairman Board of Trustees, Chief Tony Anenih and South South elder statesman, Chief Edwin Clark for standing firm behind the President
"Most of us in the diaspora are very pleased with this administration, therefore we are using this medium to appeal to Nigerians to massively re- elect him, as the nation will be the ultimate beneficiary"
