Buhari On A Medical Trip or Working Trip To London?

Reports suggest that the All Progressive Congress, APC, Presidential

Candidate, General Mohammadu Buhari has traveled to the United Kingdom to

seek medical attention. But the APC in a Press Statement said its Presidential Candidate is on a

“working visit to the U.K.” A Security source attached to the APC Presidential candidate told

Pointblanknews.com that General Buhari, 72, left a board a British Airways

this morning. The source who does not want to be named said the APC Presidential

candidate has not been too healthy and was advised to seek medical

attention overseas. According to the source, party officials were advised to keep the issue of

the health situation of the retired General under wraps so as not to

jeopardize the campaign and chances of the party at the March 28 polls.

The source said media managers of the APC campaigns were advised to issue

Press Release on Buhari's trip but should not mention his health

challenges. The APC Presidential Media Department later issued a statement claiming

the Presidential Candidate has left for the United Kingdom on a working

visit. The statement issued by Mallam Garba Shehu said General Buhari would be

having meetings with key members of the “British Political establishment.”

He did not name the personalities. Shehu also said the APC Presidential candidate “would hopefully give a

talk” at the Chatam House. Buhari is alleged to be suffering from prostrate cancer.

The APC Statement reads: The Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General

Muhammadu Buhari today (Thursday) left Abuja on a short working visit to

the United Kingdom. In the course of this visit, General Buhari is expected to hold meetings

with key members of the British political establishment and interact with

some global institutions with stakeholder interest in the affairs of

Nigeria. General Buhari would hopefully give a talk at the prestigious foreign

policy hub, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatam House in

London. The post Buhari On A Medical Trip or Working Trip To London? appeared first on Pointblank News .
