Amaechi Vs OPM: Rivers PDP Takes Exception To Amaechi’s Insults To Man Of God

The Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party; PDP says the unprovoked verbal attacks and venom on the General Overseer of the Omega Power Ministries (OPM), Apostle Chinyere Chibuzor by Governor Chibuike Amaechi are despicable and sacrilegious.

Describing Amaechi’s latest insults against a renowned man of God as one too many, the PDP in a statement from the office of the State chairman, Felix Obuah and signed by his media aide, Jerry Needam said Amaechi by this action must have been blinded by his inordinate political ambition and quest for power that he no longer differentiates the secular or temporal from the spiritual.

He has therefore, the PDP notes, by his lack of self control, use of foul language against Apostle Chibuzor profaned against Christianity and must recant his words or be willing to suffer the consequences of his action which are inevitable.

The PDP is further worried about Amaechi’s indiscriminate insults to respected institutions and personalities, showing no regard for churches, traditional rulers, religious leaders, elders and senior citizens of the land including President Goodluck Jonathan who to Amaechi is a nobody yet he is busy traversing the length and breadth of Nigeria campaigning for a Muslim fanatic, General Buhari for the office of the President.

While apologizing to Apostle Chibuzor for the undeserved insults and the entire Christian community, the PDP wishes to remind the people to beware of Amaechi and his All Progressives Congress, APC traitors whose minds are made up to mortgage our religion over filthy lucre and vote wisely in this month’s elections.

The PDP further enjoins all Christians to reject the plot to Islamize Nigeria by rejecting APC and all its agents in whatever guise, remarking that “no wonder Amaechi and Dakuku Peterside belong to no particular Church”.
