Ngige Is An Apology, Fayemi Is The Man

A pressure group, Amanambu Unity Assembly has flayed the defeated candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the November 2013governorship election, Senator (Dr.) Chris Ngige for his unsportsmanlike attitude each time he loses an election, which is a contrast to the spirit of sportsmanship exhibited by Ekiti State governorship candidature, and outgoing governor, Dr. Fayemi after losing in the last Saturday's governorship election.

Making this known in a chat with newsmen after Fayemi congratulated Ayo Fayose in the Ekiti governorship election, the group chairman, Chief Amanambu said Ngige who placed third in the November 2013 governorship election in Anambra State behind Comrade Tony Nwoye of PDP and governor Obiano of APGA is still thinking of going to an appeal court after he lost woefully in the poll.

Amanambu pointed out that after Fayemi had lost the governorship election to Fayose, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dr. Fayose, he not only hailed INEC for the innovative electoral process but also congratulated his opponent for emerging as the winner of the poll.

He accused Ngige of deceiving his followers with his post-election court actions which he said is a ploy to cover up the fact that he is a spent force and has lost electoral relevance.

He explained that by going to tribunal after losing an election, Senator Ngige uses it to hoodwink his unwary followers that he is still popular and sustains their loyalty and followership till the next election.

Said he: What many people do not know is that Senator Dr Chris Ngige is a spent force. The only election Ngige has ever won in his life as a partisan politician is senatorial seat awarded him after the late former Minister of Information, Prof. Dora Akunyili's first victory against him was scuttled. Ngige has penchant for crying foul eaxh time he loses an election, it ois a gimmick to make his followers not to leave him as he resort to court action will make his followers to believe that the table may still turn in his favour. He keeps their hopes alive until another round of election comes and Ngige counts on them again for support.'

According to him, the people of Anambra State are beginning to see Ngige's true colour and will not be deceived any more, adding that the Boko Haram activities in the North will spread to the State and other South-East State if APC comes to power in any State of the South East.

Amanambu warned the national leadership of APC not to be deceived that Ngige is popular, and then resort to sponsoring his court cases, which he predicted the APC will realize soon is being used to siphon the party's money.

He said that Anambra people are peaceful and are comfortable with the prevailing peace and security in the State, warning that the youths and well-meaning people in the State will resist any plan to either introduce anarchy which characterized the period Ngige stole the APGA mandate which Peter Obi recovered from him.

The Forum boss assured that his group are at alert to make sure that insurgency does not creep into the State through a political party Igbo people are schemed out of major positions and not comfortable with.
