SAN FRANCISCO, April 30, (THEWILL) â€' Senate President David Mark is to lead a delegation of 22 Senators to meet and confer with President Goodluck Jonathan over the fate of the abducted 234 schoolgirls by the Boko Haram sect in Chibok, Borno State.

The meeting is scheduled to hold at 10pm Wednesday night

The delegation includes the following senators: Senators Boluwaji Kunlere, Babafemi Ojudu, Zainab Kure, Alkali Jajere, James Manager, Enyinnaya Abaribe, Helen Esuene, Chris Anyanwu, Ali Ndume, Ahmed Zannah, Mai'na Ma'aji Lawan, Nenadi Usman, Mohammed Magoro and Emmanuel Bwacha.

Others are; Ahmed Lawan, Barnabas Gemade, Sola Adeyeye, Bindowo Jibrilla, Ehigie Uzamere, Bello Tukur, Bukar Abba Ibrahim.

The meeting would afford the lawmakers an opportunity to discuss the rising spate of insurgency in the country.

It was however learnt that most Senators from the flashpoint areas are expected to divulge intelligence reports at their disposal during the meeting.

The senate had on Tuesday urged the Federal Government to go all out to apply maximum military might to rout the insurgents and to rescue the abducted girls immediately.

Most of the Senators had also during debate on a motion to that effect accused some neighbouring countries of complicity in the rising insurgency in Nigeria.
