Poultry Farmer, Undergraduate Emerge Millionaires In Nutricima Mega Cash Promo

Lagos, Nigeria; 7th April, 2014: Fortune has smiled on a Kaduna-based poultry farmer and Jos-based undergraduate student of University of Georgia, USA, as both emerged millionaires in the on-going pan Nigerian consumer-reward promo by Nutricima Limited tagged 'Mega Cash Promo.'

In the first phase of the Nutricima national e-raffle draws supervised by State and National Lottery Regulatory Commission, a middle-aged poultry farmer, Alhaji Kassim Ahmad Abdullahi and 21-year-old Chinedu John, a student of University of Georgia won N1m each, while another student of Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, Miss Janet Attah, 20, won N250, 000 in the promo.

At the prize presentation held recently in Kaduna and Jos, having in attendance some executives of Nutricima Limited, families and friends of winners, the poultry farmer and two undergraduates received their cash prizes amidst joy and excitement.

Alhaji Abdullahi while recounting how he qualified for the N1m cash prize hinted that he had applied for a loan to invest in his farm business, but later heard about the Mega Cash promo, so he decided to participate in it.

He said, “Olympic Milk is my favourite brand and despite the fact that I saw some labels with the words 'Try again,' I remained persistent despite the discouragement from my wife and children who mocked that it will all amount to a waste of time. Later, I made attempt twice by sending the six digit code and serial number then eventually got a call notifying me that I had won N1m.” To him, the cash prize is a gift from God because the loan he had applied for will cost him some additional cash to pay interest.

On his part, Chinedu John explained that he gained admission into Georgia State University, US and had been praying to God for a scholarship to fund his education in the States. And while contemplating the possibility of resuming school by October this year for the new academic, he decided to buy tins of Olympic Milk with which he usually makes yoghurt, refrigerates and consumes.

On that particular day, according to him, he consumed the milk as usual then sent the six digit pin with serial number to the designated number and followed the instructions from the auto response. Few weeks later, he got a call that he won N1million. He said he couldn't contain his joy when he was told over the phone that won N1m. “I screamed, attracting neighbours who thought there was danger in his house but they later discovered that it was an expression of joy and excitement,” he said. He concluded that the proceeds from the promo will definitely be invested in his University education in USA.

Miss Janet, who won N250, 000 confessed that she is a lover of Olympic Milk and really deserved the reward from Nutricima Mega Cash Promo. She explained that despite being a young student, she usually buys a carton or half a carton of Olympic Milk as part of her school provisions. She said, “The 250,000 cash prize will take some financial burden off my parents so that they can cater for my younger siblings.”

In the last four weeks, several consumers have won cash prizes ranging from N50, 000 to N1million in the Mega Cash Promo and more consumers are expected to win millions of naira in subsequent draws. The promo started on January 27th and is expected to end on April 14, 2014.

Nutricima Limited unveiled the promo in fulfilment of its promise to make life better for its teeming consumers across Nigeria. It is aimed at rewarding new and existing consumers of Nutricima's range of milk products. The company produces highly nutritious dairy and non-dairy beverages like Nunu, Coast and Olympic milk, Bliss Ice teas and Yo! yoghurt.
