Gunmen Kill Police Officer In Niger

SAN FRANCISCO, May 20, (THEWILL) – A police Inspector has been killed in Mashegu Local Government Area of Niger State by yet to be identified gunmen.

The officer was killed on Monday when two gunmen on a motorcycle surprised a police patrol truck with sporadic gunfire, which killed the officer, who was head of the patrol team.

The identity of the slain officer has not been made public by the Niger State Police Command.
