Know Your Partner Sexually Before Marriage – Dayo Amusa Tells Couples

Nollywood actress and singer Dayo Amusa has weighed in on the importance of sexual compatibility in marriage, advising couples to consider it before tying the knot.

In a post on her X (formerly Twitter) handle, she supported the view that individuals who do not prioritise sex may not be suited for marriage.

Amusa noted that while two virgins with limited sexual expectations might adapt to married life, people with prior sexual experience often have different desires and preferences. She also expressed her belief in cohabitation before marriage, stating that sex is among the top three reasons to do so.

Arguing that the essence of cohabitation goes beyond cooking and laying bedsheets, she encouraged couples to get to know their partners well sexually so they know what they are committing to for life. She recommended sexual compatibility before any final decision is reached.

She wrote: "That is why I do not believe people aren't meant to co-habit before marriage. Two virgins getting married without any wild desires may cope, but for the tested ones, we all have our sexual desires, demands and preferences."
