Actress Funmi Awelewa Bemoans Recurring Betrayal, Childhood Trauma

Nollywood actress Funmi Awelewa has expressed displeasure over her battle with recurring betrayal, recounting how she struggled to heal from childhood trauma.

The Yoruba actress, in a recent Instagram post, admitted that she is fed up of being betrayed by individuals she trusts.

According to her, it took years to heal from betrayal and childhood trauma, yet the same pain is playing out again.

Awelewa stressed that upon reminiscing on her past hurt, and discovering that it is now recurring, has left her lonely and sad.

She admitted that she is fed up of being with the wrong people, ranging from friends to family, and even her partner, revealing that it is the reason she stays alone.

She wrote:

"I’m tired!!

For the first time!!

I’m tired of Agbaromoni ta koni.

Oga tomu aparo’moni tako ni lowo.

Every time, every year!

It took me years to heal from Betrayal and childhood trauma.

For the first time in my life, I’m Tired!

Looking back on what I experienced while growing up, the same issues. Today I break down feeling lonely and sad!!!!!!

I’m tired of meeting the wrong people. I’m not lucky in seeing myself in people.
