Your Legacy Will Continue To Dance With The Wind – Actress Mary Njoku Writes Parting Note To Alexx Ekubo During Service Of Songs

Nollywood actress Mary Njoku has written a parting note to her late colleague, Alexx Ekubo, following his Service of Songs on Wednesday, June 10.

In an emotional tribute on her Instagram page, Njoku shared a photo of the late actor, noting how they are mourning his silence, yet celebrate his journey which has been filled with stories and souls it once embraced.

The CEO of ROK studios also maintained that despite his absence from the face of the earth, his legacy will continue to precede him positively.

She wrote: "IKUKU is finally gone. Like the wind. Today, we mourn the silence, But we celebrate the journey. For though the wind has passed, Its echo remains in every leaf, Every story, Every soul it once embraced. Farewell, Alex. Your footsteps may no longer grace this earth, But your legacy will continue to dance with the wind,

And your memory will live on, in the hearts of those who loved you.

Rest well, Ikuku. The wind has carried you home Brother."

Recall that The Nigerian Voice reported that Alexx Ekubo gave up the ghost on May 11, at the age of 40, following a battle with cancer.

The actor's Service of Songs was held at the Monarch Event Centre in the Lekki area of Lagos State on Wednesday, June 10. The ceremony drew a mix of Nigeria’s entertainment and political elite. The atmosphere was charged with emotion as colleagues, friends, and fans came together to pay their final respects to the beloved actor.
