Nigerian media mogul, Mo Abudu, is celebrating Nollywood powerhouses, Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham, over their latest cinema milestone.

Recall that The Nigerian Voice reported on Monday, January 26 that Toyin Abraham's December cinema release 'Oversabi Aunty' grossed over N1Billion in the box office, and Funke Akindele's 'Behind The Scenes' grossed N2.4Billion.

Reacting to the astonishing achievements, the CEO of EbonyLife group, via her Instagram page, shared the poster of the new records set by both movies, revealing her excitement over their "record-breaking box office numbers."

She described the win as the evidence that "cinema culture" is alive in Nigeria, noting how it is a good news for her as a cinema owner.

Abudu also explained that the reasons behind her excitement is that: both stars are women who have put in the hardwork to attain their results, including taking on several roles from writing to producing, acting, and directing in their respective projects, adding that they are also good at marketing their movies to reach their audience.

She wrote: "I am excited to celebrate the wins of @funkejenifaakindele and @toyin_abraham in the announcements made today on their record-breaking box office numbers.

Cinema culture is truly well and alive in Nigeria, and this is amazing news for me as a cinema owner.
