‎Nollywood Needs Restructuring -Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde

‎Popular Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has stated that the Nollywood industry requires restructuring.

‎ ‎The veteran actress and producer emphasized that the Nigerian movie industry should learn from other film industries, particularly in how they compensate actors.

‎ ‎Jalade-Ekeinde compared her experiences in Hollywood and Nollywood, noting that Hollywood pays royalties to performers.

‎ ‎She stated: ‎"Just four years in Hollywood. Two test projects, monthly residuals."

‎ ‎Sharing an envelope from SAG-AFTRA, the American union for film professionals, she wrote:

‎"Whereas, in 30 years in Nollywood, with over 310 projects, no residuals. #NollywoodNeedsStructure and #UnlearntoRelearn."
