Bet Awards: The Thrills And The Frenzy

The 2022 BET awards was held yesterday at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The Show was hosted by famous actress Taraji P Henson (Empire) and it featured performances from Roddy Rich, Fireboy DML, Jack Harlow, Babyface, Chance the Rapper, GIVĒON, Chlöe, Joey Bada$$, amongst others.

As expected, the awards night had the thrills that captures the heart of every music lover. Even if you are naive about any genre of music. You bet that the yester-night would change your mind.

Megastar, Wiz kid made history as his song, "Essence" won the awards for the best collaboration.

This also made sensational Tems making history at the BET awards when she became the first African female to win the Best International Category due to her contributions on 'Essence. ' This is worth encouraging as Tiwa Savage had longed foe such award recognition.

It was a big night for Afrobeats singers as Pheelz and Fireboy both delivered impressive performances at the show. Pheelz performed on the red carpet while Fireboy DML performed at the live event.

Pheelz was a red carpet performer and he didn't miss the chance to wow the audience with his hit single 'Finesse' featuring BNXN

Fireboy performed at the award show where he delivered a spirited performance of his latest single 'Playboy' and his hit single 'Peru.'

Their performance at the 2022 BET awards mark another high point for Afrobeats which has continued to reach new heights internationally.

Among the winners of the occasion includes Kendrick Lamar won the best male hip hop art, Video Director of the Year went to Paak. The awards for the Best New Artist was won by Latto.
