PDP in clear lead in Enugu, Delta, Akwa Ibom, while APC leads in Kaduna, Sokoto
Result of Saturday's governorship election which have been trickling in indicate that the two major political parties in the country are costing home to victories in most of the states where they arecurrently in control except for Kaduna State where the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressive Change, APC, Mallam Nasir El Rufai, has established unsurmountable lead over the incumbent governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero.
Results available to us show that the PDP is in clear lead in Enugu, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Delta, Taraba, Ebonyi, but APC is in the lead in Ogun, Kaduna and Sokoto.
Election results from 15 of the 23 Local Government Areas, LGAs, of Kaduna States are:

Tambuwal early lead in Sokoto With fourteen local government areas announced so far in Sokoto State, the Candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has taken an early lead as he has won in all local government so far.
Prof. Abdul Bagudu, the state returning officer just called for a break as they expect results from the remaining nine local government areas.
The announcement which commenced this morning at about 7.07am will continue any moment from now.

UYO-The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the results of the governorship election in Akwa-Ibom State from eleven out of the 31 government areas of the state.
Of the results so far released, the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state is leading the other 15 political parties with overwhelming votes.
The results released were those of Onnah, Ini, Okobo, Nsit Atai, Etim Ekpo, Ika and Nsit Ibom local government areas.
Others were those of Ibiono-Ibom, Oruk Anam, Etinan and Obot Akara.
The results of the elections in the eleven local government areas were declared by their Presiding Officers in the presence of the state's Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr. Austin Okojie and the INEC Chief Returning Officer of the state and incidentally, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Professor James Spoke.
But the Governorship candidates of the Accord Party, Bishop Sam Akpan and the All Progressives Congress (APC), Obong Umana Umana have rejected the results so far declared alleging gross irregularities and massive abuse of the electoral process by the PDP.
The aggrieved governorship candidates accused the PDP of hijacking election materials especially, result sheets where they took to the private residence of the party chieftains to record scores for their candidate, Mr. Udom Emmanuel.
Exit polls and early results from the polling units indicated that the incumbent governor of Ogun State and candidate of All Progressives Congress, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, and the APC candidate in Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, who is the incumbent Speaker of the House of Representatives, as well as the Peoples Democratic Party candidate in Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, and his Rivers State counterpart, Nyesom Wike, might be winning the race in their states.
Okowa was leading in his Delta North senatorial district, with reports of excellent performance in the other two senatorial zones. In Owa- Oyibu, ward 1, PDP scored 5,145 votes, APC polled 1 vote, and Labour Party had 1 vote. In Ute-Okpu, ward 9, PDP had 1,953 votes, APC had 3 votes, and Labour Party had 8 votes.
Unofficial results from Ogun State put Amosun ahead in many of the polling units. In Ifo local government, ward 007, Oke Aro unit 011, PDP polled 8 votes, Social Democratic Party scored 7 votes, and APC scored 122 votes. At polling unit 03 ward 03, Remo-North local government, PDP scored 179, APC scored 130. Others included ward 6, Sagamu, unit 8, APC 205, PDP 83; ward 1, Ifo local government, APC 1,891, PDP 635, SDP 158; ward 9 Sagamu local government, APC 1,429, PDP 612; Ado Odo-Ota local government, APC 8,787, PDP 2,987, SDP 740; Ijebu Ode local government, APC 2,754, PDP 2,699, SDP 187; Ajuwon/Akute, Ifo local government final results, APC 4,225, PDP 861, SDP 313; ward 6 Sagamu unit 8, APC 205, PDP 83; Ifo 012, SDP 22, APC 108, PDP 38; Arigbajo ward 3, Ewekoro local government, APC 1,063, PDP 292, SDP 56.
