As long as Nollywood shuns intellectual input in Nigerian story narrations, there will surely be no end to its aimless focus on capturing USA, EU or Asia. These guys don't respect research; so how could they ever really tell better stories.
Listen Americans tinker everyday with story structures. Indians brand romance and love like bread and butter; in fact seeking to capture Western market 'Slum Dog Millionaire' ventured into 'sound check' for a better exposition.
My people in Nollywood are busy running after the bread they haven't baked yet. It's a crazy country, Nigeria. The same mediocre mentality in every sector haunts us like death!
