Plateau Deputy Speaker Wants Mazah Killings Probed

JOS, July 20, (THEWILL) - Deputy Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Baba Hassan, has demanded for the probe of last Saturday's killings in Mazah village of Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State which led to the death of seven people.

The Deputy Speaker who observed that Mazah is under the Jos North- North Constituency he represents at the house stressed that the attackers must be brought to book for the people to feel secure in their village once again.

"My people were attacked on Saturday by unknown assailants at Mazah village, several people were killed, many were injured and houses were also burnt, no arrest has been made over the killings of these innocent people including a four year girl."

He called on the House to set up a committee to assess the level of destruction of lives and properties, and called on the federal and state governments to come to the aid of the victims of the attack.
