REP CAUTIONS ON REPORTAGE OF SECURITY ISSUES

Rep. Bello Mutawalle, the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Public Safety and National Security, in Abuja on Thursday urged the media to exercise restrain in reporting security issues.

Mutawalle (PDP-Zamfara), in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), said that “in times like this”, the media should take the path of caution.

He said that government was working toward restoring peace and harmony in the country.

“Both the National Assembly and the executive are working hard to restore peace in the country and their effort should be complimented by the media.”
