Cindy Crawford says single girls make better models.

The 43-year-old beauty found it easier to be successful in the fashion world before she settled down. Cindy enjoyed travelling and working long hours until she married Rande Gerbe and had two children — 10-year-old son Presley and daughter Kaia, eight.

“It's really a career for young people,” Cindy insists. “When you don't have any ties and you can fly all over and work long hours, and you can take it seriously. I can still do it, but I'm not quite as invested in it. I'm happy to do it, but at 4.30 I want to get home because I have to do homework with my kids.”

Cindy also hit back at critics for blaming eating disorders on the current trend of having super slim models in magazines. The star insists the fashion industry can't be held solely responsible for teenagers feeling under pressure to lose weight.

“The girls who are models now, that's just their body,” Cindy reasons. “You can't fault them for that. Kate Moss eats — but she is thin. Fashion is all about extremes.

“I don't know that much about eating disorders, but I think people want to find something to blame. An eating disorder is way more than a girl looking at a picture of a skinny model in a magazine.”
