IORFA TARGETS MORE AWAY VICTORIES

By NBF News

Having recorded his first away victory this season against Ocean Boys, former international and Lobi Stars Technical Adviser, Mr. Dominic Iorfa Mtem has expressed confidence that his team will record more of such away victories in the NPL.

Lobi went to the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium Benin on Sunday and pulled a 2-1 victory over struggling Ocean Boys of Yenagoa.

Speaking to Trustsports after his boys hard earned victory over Ocean, the former NFF board member said his boys deserved to get the win because they showed more quality and determination than Ocean Boys.

He explained that even when they went behind in the match, they did not lose concentration as his players bombarded their host's goal area in search of the important equalizer which eventually came through speedster forward Tony Okputu.

Iorfa said the icing on the cake was the second goal which came off the boots of former Enyimba International striker, Chimobi to seal victory for his side.

The vice-chairman of Lobi said his team will not rest on its oars because the target is to pick one of the continental tickets at the end of the season and the only way to achieve the set goal is to win more away games.

'I am really happy with the performance of my players. They deserved that victory because they showed maturity and determination. This is just the beginning. We are going to record more away victories.

'You should know what it means to come from behind to beat a home side in the Nigeria Premier League. The home boys did all they could to get at least a draw but my boys proved a hard nut to crack. We are not going to rest on our oars'.

Iorfa in addition called on other clubs in the NPL to believe that it is possible to win away from home.
