IKE UCHE BATTLES TO WIN GRANADA FANS OVER

By NBF News

Earlier in December, Granada fans had cause to boo Uche, when the club was second from the bottom of the league table, however Uche and his teammates seem to have turned things around with the club finishing well ahead of the Christmas break. And Uche is calling on his club players to maintain the momentum when the league resumes in January.

'We really need to concentrate and be mentally strong in our subsequent games,' said Uche after they beat Levante 2-1 last weekend to bring their points haul to19 and well above the relegation zone.

Uche was signed by Villarreal during the summer but was loaned to Granada. He has made 11 appearances with a goal to his credit. Uche noted that this had to with the position he is been played by coach Fabri Gonzalez, however, the former Heartland of Owerri striker said he was comfortable as long as the coach has confidence in him.

'I'm okay playing at the right side of midfield as long as it can bring us victories. I will continue to play there as long as the coach wants me there,' Uche said.
