ACCESS BANK TO DRIVE CASHLESS ECONOMY WITH CIU

Access Bank Plc said its ongoing Customer Information Update, CIU, programme will play a major role in driving and ensuring the success of the cashless economy and electronic-banking initiatives.

Speaking at the final draw of its Customer Engagement Campaign promotion in Lagos, Mr. Uche Onyeigwe, Team Leader, Product Management, said customers who have updated their data with the bank, will be assured of the safety of their data and transactions when the cashless banking and e-banking initiatives kick off fully.

According to him, the bank will be provided with the necessary information that will help deliver high quality services to the customers.

Also speaking, Mr. Victor Wille, Team, Leader, Retail Banking, Access Bank, said the promotion is designed to enable the bank satisfy its customer and ensure the growth of their various businesses.

He explained that apart from rewarding customers' loyalty, the promotion is also to enable it reward its customers for their unflinching connection with its product offerings.

He disclosed that the bank decided not to reward the winners with cash because it wants more value creation for them, stating that it would be more beneficial for the customers' in terms of savings and growth of their business.

'This is about life-long relationship and not about cash. Cash reward is finite but what we are doing to these customers that emerged winners is to empower them to create value by themselves. What they saved from the charges free transaction could be plowed back to the business. There is no limit to value,' he said.

He further stated that the bank was committed in its resolve to reward consumers through other various innovative products and services, adding that the promo is primarily for the bank to get information that will enable it relate with both old and customers.

At the draw, which was based on the bank's Customer Information Update, CIU, campaign, the bank further rewarded 15 individual and 15 corporate customers with charges-free transaction for life.

With the final draw winners, the total number of customers exempted from bank charges now stand at 240.

With this development, the lucky winners stand to enjoy exemption charges in any transactions made to the bank such as deposit, withdrawal, Automated Teller Machine, ATM, Visa requirement account details, Cost of Transaction (COT), amongst others.

The bank also presented certificates to winners in the previous draw.

Some of the winners in the final draw are: Kazeem Ijiola, Mba Kingsley, Duruaku Chizoba, Ekugo Ekezie, Oliver Udo, Udenyi Olayinka, Egodibie Maxwell, Esang Ekaete, Gbadamosi Adebayo, Chukwu John among others, in the individual customers category.
