Breaking News: Sylva's Commissioner Resigns

In what seems as if embattled Bayelsa state governor, Timipre Sylva may have lost grip of his executive council, Huhuonline.com can authoritatively report that one of the state commissioners has resigned from office.

Findings have also revealed that there are reports of more retirements from Sylva's cabinet before the end of the year.

According to a letter of resignation dated 24tyh November, 2011 and signed by Etifa Bekeakpo, the state Commissioner for Youth, Conflict Resolution and Employment Generation, it states that 'I wish to bring to your notice my intention to resign from the Government of Bayelsa State as Member of the Executive Council.'

The letter which was simply titled, 'Letter of Resignation' and addressed to the Secretary to the Bayelsa State Government (SSG), further explained that, 'I am resigning from the Executive Council as Honourable Commissioner of Youth, Conflict Resolution and Employment Generation to create more time for my family and business.'

Mr. Etifa Bekeakpo, however added that 'I thank His Excellency Chief Timipre Sylva, the Executive Governor of Bayelsa state for giving me the opportunity to serve Bayelsa state as commissioner. Accept the assurances of my highest regards.'
