Two Local Firms Complete Purchase Of Shell's Two Nigeria Oil Blocks
SAN FRANCISCO, November 13, (THEWILL) – The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPPC) Sunday announced that two local indigenous firms – First Hydrocarbon Nigeria Limited, owned by Afren and another consortium led by Nestoil have completed the purchase of 45 percent stake in two oil blocks previously operated by Shell, Total and Eni.
The blocks are OML 26, which will now be operated by First Hydrocarbon, while OML 26 will be operated by the Nestoil consortium, the NNPC said in the statement.
