SAMSUNG OPENS FIRST IT PLUS SHOP
In order to avert its products from being pirated as well as distancing itself from substandard products, Samsung Electronics West Africa (SEWA) in conjunction with Crista Digital Limited recently opened the first one-stop technology shop in Nigeria, which is branded as Samsung IT Plus .
According to Samsung, the shop, located at Sanusi Fafunwa Street, Victoria Island, Lagos is the flagship of SEWA IT products outlet in Nigeria, established to simplify individuals and businesses' Information Technology procedures.
IT Director, SEWA, Mrs. Chioma Iwuchukwu-Nweke explained that the shop debut in order to enable customers purchase Samsung range of products with ease and without fear of purchasing substandard as well as pirated products. According to her, launching the first IT plus shop in Nigeria was in demonstration of SEWA's commitment to providing Nigerians with genuine products.
She explained that the shop will also serve to provide after sales and support services to customers. As an added service, she said a print solutions corner has been added to the shop to enable customers print photos directly from digital cameras, phones and USB flash drives.
She added that more IT Plus shops, including IT shops within other bigger shops, will be launched in various parts of the country to increase Samsung customer service touch points.
General Manager, Crista Digital, Mrs. Magdalene Ugoanusi said a variety of Samsung products like mobile phones, camcorders, projectors, printers, smart TVs, laptops and DVD players are available at the shop, with full warranty from Samsung. She disclosed that the company is running a sales promotion that will give customers opportunity to win prizes like mobile phones, DVD players and other items.
In her welcome address, she hinted that the Managing Director has created new business and employment for people simply by partnering with Samsung.
On the other hand, Managing Director, Crista Digital Ltd w, who is also the Group MD, Jetlinks, John Nwosu noted that technology is fast snowballing, as such people should leverage on the trend. While advising that customers should be wary of substandard products and only look at for counterfeits products.
