NFF ASSURES KESHI OF TOTAL SUPPORT

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has promised to give the newly appointed Super Eagles' Head Coach, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi its full support to enable him succeed in the daunting task ahead of him.

The federation's General Secretary, Barrister Musa Amadu, who gave the assurance during Keshi's first official visit to the Glass House on Friday, stressed that the board has put every machinery in place to ensure that the coach would not only enjoy his job, but would also succeed.

Describing the task ahead of the coach as onerous, the NFF chief scribe reminded the former Hawks of Togo handler that what he has in his hand is a national assignment that must be approached meticulously with high level of dexterity. 'Let me formally welcome you to the Glass House. It is a pleasure to have your here in an official visit since your appointment as the head coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

'As you know, the responsibility in your hand is a national assignment, and considering the passion every Nigerian has for football, you should realise that you must deliver.'On our part as a federation, I want to assure you that we will do everything within our reach to make sure you succeed in this all-important assignment,' Barrister Amadu noted in his office before leading the coach to the NFF president's office.

Coach Keshi, who was beaming with smiles all through the visit, has casually assured the chief scribe that he was very much aware of the enormity of the task given to him, insisting that he would not disappoint Nigerians.

Reiterating his promise while fielding questions from the media, the former Eagles' captain said; 'I want Nigerians to know that I will work extra hard to bring smiles on the faces of lovers of football in he country and beyond. I will not disappoint in restoring our past football glory and bringing back the glamour,' Keshi promised.
