Nigerian Local Actor Detained Over Alleged Cocaine Possession

SAN FRANCISCO, October 13, (THEWILL) – A popular Nigerian local actor has been detained at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport for allegedly concealing substances suspected to be cocaine in his stomach.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) said it detained actor and comedian, Mr. Babatunde Omidina, 53, popularly known as Baba Suwe, in his Yoruba dialect movies on Wednesday night during an attempt to board an Air France flight to Paris.

Spokesman of the NDLEA, Mr. Mitchell Ofoyeju said the actor is being detained in one of its facilities in Lagos as it continues investigations.
