JONATHAN URGED TO SET UP MONITORING C'TTEES

By NBF News

THE Niger Delta Nationalities Forum has called on President Goodluck Jonathan to set up a team that will monitor activities of his ministers.

The group suggested that such move will give room for healthy competition on the part of members of the cabinet.

Addressing newsmen in Lagos, Chairman of the forum, Mr. Manager Seigha, said that to ensure performance on the part of the ministers, there was need for the Federal Government to set up parallel monitoring organisations to give the President feedback on the activities of ministers.

He said: 'One of the best ways the President can get first hand information on the ministers' performances is for him to set up community-based organisations.

'These organisations, which will also include the media, will go round and give feedback to the President.'
